Editorial Standards
Editorial standards
Everything published on the Artemis Therapeutics Journal is written or reviewed by our team of practitioners and researchers. Here is how we approach health content.
Who writes our content
All Journal articles are written by members of the Artemis team:
- Nathalie Babazadeh, L.Ac. — Licensed Acupuncturist and Master Herbalist with 18+ years of clinical practice. MS in Chinese Medicine.
- Kacey Moe, MS — MS Holistic Nutrition, BS Kinesiology. Co-formulates all Artemis products.
- Felix Christmann-Jacoby — Systems health researcher. Covers metabolomics, biomarkers, and regenerative science.
We do not use ghostwriters or accept paid guest posts. Every article reflects direct clinical experience, research review, or personal practice.
How we review content
Articles go through the following process before publication:
- Research and drafting. The author writes from their area of expertise, citing peer-reviewed research where available.
- Internal review. A second team member reviews for accuracy, clarity, and tone.
- Citation check. Claims about ingredients or mechanisms reference published research (PubMed, peer-reviewed journals, clinical databases). We link to sources where possible.
- Compliance review. All claims are checked against FDA structure/function guidelines before publication.
Health claims standards
Artemis Therapeutics is a supplement company, not a medical provider. We follow these rules for all published content:
- We make structure/function claims only. We never claim that any product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents disease.
- When we discuss ingredient research, we reference the ingredient's published studies, not our product specifically.
- We distinguish between clinical evidence, preliminary research, and traditional use. We say which is which.
- Every product page and relevant article carries the FDA disclaimer.
Content freshness
Health research evolves. We review and update published articles when new research is available or when existing citations need correction. Articles that have been updated after their original publication date display an "Updated" date in the metadata.
Transparency
Artemis Therapeutics sells supplements. When we write about ingredients in our own products, we disclose that clearly.
Product recommendations and affiliate relationships
Some Journal articles recommend specific products from other brands. When we have an affiliate relationship with a brand, we earn a small commission on purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. These articles are clearly marked with an affiliate disclosure at the top.
We recommend products through two channels:
- Fullscript practitioner dispensary. A professional-grade supplement platform used by licensed practitioners. Our founding practitioner, Nathalie Babazadeh L.Ac., maintains the dispensary under her clinical credentials.
- Direct brand affiliate programs. Select brands whose products meet our recommendation criteria.
Our recommendation criteria, in order of priority:
- Bioactive forms. We recommend supplements that use clinically relevant, bioavailable ingredient forms (e.g., methylfolate over folic acid, liposomal delivery where absorption matters).
- Third-party testing. Products with independent testing, GMP certification, or NSF verification.
- Practitioner formulation. Products formulated by credentialed practitioners or backed by published research.
- Clinical evidence. Ingredients and doses supported by peer-reviewed studies, not marketing claims.
Commissions never influence which products we recommend. Every product we recommend is available for purchase through non-affiliate channels. If a product does not meet our criteria, we will not recommend it regardless of affiliate terms. Our practitioners personally use or have clinically recommended every product that appears in our guides.
This disclosure policy follows FTC 16 CFR Part 255 guidelines for endorsements and testimonials.
Our editorial decisions are independent of commercial considerations. We write about topics our practitioners and researchers find important, not topics chosen to sell products.
