Understanding Spring Allergies:

In order to tackle allergies, it’s important to first know what’s going on.  Spring allergies, also known as seasonal allergies or hay fever, are a common allergic reaction that occurs during the spring season when trees, grasses, and other plants release pollen into the air. For people who suffer from spring allergies, the immune system mistakenly identifies pollen as a harmful substance and triggers an allergic reaction.  The symptoms include sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy eyes, throat, and ears, watery eyes, and fatigue.

Natural sinus relief with Lucidia:

Lucidia’s organic, non-drowsy formula promotes clear breathing and soothes sinuses during seasonal irritation. It’s made from a blend of natural ingredients, including stinging nettle, quercetin, bromelain, and Reishi Mushroom, which work together to support the immune system.

Stinging nettle, one of the main ingredients in Lucidia, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and has been used for centuries to treat allergies. Quercetin is a flavonoid that’s found in many fruits and vegetables and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effects. Bromelain is derived from pineapple, and is a digestive enzyme that has been found to reduce inflammation and swelling in the body. Finally, Reishi mushroom has been used throughout China for centuries and is known as the “mushroom of immortality”.

“I suffer from year-round allergies. It seems like everything makes my nose turn into a faucet. These supplements helped more than the prescription meds did!! My eyes were less irritated, my nose stopped running and I use a lot less tissues”.

Scientific Studies on Stinging Nettle and allergies:

Stinging nettle has been widely studied for its potential benefits in alleviating allergy symptoms. A study published in the journal Phytotherapy Research in 2013 investigated the effects of stinging nettle on allergic rhinitis.

In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 69 participants with allergic rhinitis were given either stinging nettle or a placebo for one week. The participants were asked to rate their symptoms, including sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy nose, on a scale of 0 to 3, with 3 being severe symptoms.

The results of the study showed that participants who took stinging nettle had a significant reduction in symptoms compared to those who took the placebo. Specifically, the stinging nettle group reported a 58% reduction in sneezing, a 69% reduction in runny nose, a 57% reduction in nasal congestion, and a 48% reduction in itchy nose.

Another study published in the Journal of Herbal Medicine in 2018 found that stinging nettle extract was effective in reducing symptoms of allergic rhinitis in children. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 77 children with allergic rhinitis were given either stinging nettle or a placebo for eight weeks. The stinging nettle group showed a significant reduction in symptoms compared to the placebo group, with a 78% reduction in sneezing, a 67% reduction in runny nose, and a 48% reduction in nasal congestion.

While these studies give concrete evidence of the benefits of stinging nettle, it’s important for you to see for yourself. If you have allergies, try Lucidia with our money back guarantee. If it doesn’t work for you, no problem, just contact us and we’ll issue a full refund!
